Still my favorite hotel in town! Returned here after a year and felt like I never left it. Everything is perfect there: from the moment you step out of your taxi on your way to check-in to your whole stay and the check-out.
Hotel and rooms are still oozing old-world charm, personnel is amazing, location is perfect, and there's literally nothing else in the world you could wish for.
I can't possibly think of staying anywhere else in Vienna. Grand feels like home. Tip: please spend a little extra for a good room - it's worth it!

One of the lovliest hotels in VIenna. Grand Hotel Wien is one of the nicest hotels in VIenna. It has old world charm, beautiful decor and impeccable service.
Its location is excellent and within walking distance of all the major attractions ofthe city. The Opera, Museums and shopping streets are closeby.
There is no dirth of restaurants and cafes around the hotel and there is a large grocery store literally adjacent.
I visited in late November and was fortunate to visit the colorful Christmas markets which are just a few streets away.
I was also able to go to a Mozart Recital and an Opera performance through the very efficient services of the hotel conceige.
